Hey there!

Here’s some golden nuggets of AI for your Friday morning.

📝 OpenAI’s GPT Guide

OpenAI just published their guide to best practices with GPT. Essentially, this is the user manual from the manufacturer itself. So if you’re not getting the desired quality of responses you’re looking for in ChatGPT, consider giving this guide a read.

They also included a bunch of links at the bottom of the page from The OpenAI Cookbook, which includes prompting libraries and guides, video courses, and more.

🤖 Zuckerberg’s latest interview

Mark Zuckerberg was just interviewed by Lex Fridman, in which he was asked (among many things) about Meta’s generative AI plans. Here are some of the main points he touched on:

  • He believes open-sourcing Meta’s latest AI tech to researchers is a good idea. Pretty much, Meta won’t be building in a silo like others and will get valuable feedback on security and safety

  • Recognizing that OpenAI and Google’s models are ahead, but not transparent

  • The latest work on LLaMa Version 2. Meta’s internal focus is to make sure it is as aligned and responsible as possible

  • He foresees chatbots and AI agents in every app, as well as small businesses having their own AI agents for commerce and customer support. He also said LLaMa will be the “engine that supports this” and that they will “take it beyond a research project into something ready to be core infrastructure

🍎 No AI for Apple at WWDC ‘23

Apple went all in on AR tech, but noticeably there were no AI announcements made at their developer conference, WWDC. Tim Cook later said that AI is built into all of their apps anyway, and that Apple will focus on developing any new generative AI responsibly.
